Hajia Aisha Muhammed Buhari, the wife of the President, has aked the Nigerian women, especially pregnant and nursing mothers to always present themselves for proper medical attention in order to avert unnecessary health hazards.
In her speech given by the wife of Enugu State governor, Mrs Monica Ugwuanyi, during her advocacy and community sensitization visit at Oji River General Hospital, expressed unhappiness at the rate women are dying during pregnancy and child birth in Nigeria and noted that measures must be taken to salvage the situation.
She urged all the pregnant women to attend antenatal clinic to know their health status and that of their unborn child and to ensure safe delivery.
