Chrissy Teigen was proud to announce on Oct. 12 that she’s pregnant. She and husband John Legend are expecting their first baby together.
Chrissy Teigen, 29, just announced that she and husband John Legend, 36, are pregnant. They’ve been trying to have a baby for a while, and “it hasn’t been easy” for them, which just makes Chrissy and John that much more “excited” that it’s “finally” happening.

“John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant. As many of you know, we’ve been trying to have a baby for a while now. It hasn’t been easy, but we kept trying because we can’t wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family. We’re so excited that it’s finally happening. Thank you for all your love and well wishes. I look forward to all the belly touching!” Chrissy wrote on Instagram Oct. 12. John also made the announcement on his Instagram account, saying, “We’re pregnant!”
On a recent FABLife episode, co-host Chrissy talked about her fertility struggles. “We’ve seen fertility doctors and once you open up about those things to other people, you learn that a lot of other people in your life are seeing these people and they have this shame about it,” she told the audience.
“I would say, honestly, that John and I were having trouble. We would have had kids five, six years ago if it had happened, but my gosh, it’s been a process,” she added.
John also spoke to press-men at an AXE event in September and told them why he loves Chrissy so much. “I think we’re just fortunate that we found someone that was really a good match. We’re really different in a lot of ways, but whatever it is about our chemistry, it matches up really well. And I think if you have that, that’s a great start. And then you just have to have that commitment to making it work no matter what — even if you have troubles, or arguments or whatever. You just have to be committed to making it work. But we got a long way to go. I was with my family today, and my aunt, she buried her husband she had been married to for 29 years. And so I really respect people that are able to keep their marriages together for so long, and so hopefully we’ll be that kind of couple.”
