“Same Old Love” showcases Selly’s pop vocals with an interesting backing beat that’s slow, but upbeat. It’s different from her first single “Good For You,” but it still shows off her new mature side that she’s going for. Selena appears to be singing about a troubled past relationship. Some of the lyrics are: “Take away your things and go, you can’t take back what you said, I know, I’ve heard it all before at least a million times, I’m not one to forget, you’d know.” (See the full lyrics below.) Singer-songwriter Charli XCX is also featured on the chorus!
